One year online: thank you for helping Cycletrack grow

A small privacy-first cycle tracker is slowly finding its users

Cycletrack has now been online for one year. What started as a personal project has become a real app used by people who want simple, private, ad-free menstrual cycle tracking.

One year ago, Cycletrack went online with a simple goal: to offer a digital menstrual calendar that feels respectful, practical, and private.

Today, I want to say thank you.

Thank you to everyone who installed the app, created a profile, tracked a cycle, saved a note, logged symptoms, read a blog article, or sent feedback. Cycletrack is still a small independent project, but it is growing steadily. At the moment, one new user downloads the app and registers a Cycletrack account every day — and that means a lot.

For a project like this, growth does not need to be loud to be meaningful. Every new user is a reminder that there is space for a cycle tracking app that does not rely on ads, pressure, or unnecessary complexity.

What changed during the first year

The first version of Cycletrack focused on the essentials: tracking period dates, cycle history, symptoms, flow, notes, and basic cycle predictions.

Over time, users started asking for more control over their own data. One of the most important requests was the ability to export and import information from the app.

That functionality is now available.

Cycles and day logs can be exported individually into CSV format. This makes it easier to keep a personal copy of your records, review them outside the app, or share selected information with a healthcare professional if you choose to.

Cycletrack also now allows a complete backup of the data saved in the app. This backup can later be imported into another device where Cycletrack is installed. You can find these export, import, and backup options in the Cycle history modal.

This was an important improvement because your cycle history belongs to you. You should be able to save it, move it, and keep access to it.

New data options added thanks to user feedback

  • Export cycles individually into CSV format.
  • Export day logs individually into CSV format.
  • Create a complete app backup of locally saved Cycletrack data.
  • Import a backup later on another device with Cycletrack installed.
  • Access these tools from the Cycle history modal.
Tip: If you use Cycletrack regularly, it is a good idea to create a backup from time to time, especially before changing devices, clearing browser storage, or reinstalling the app.

Synchronisation has become one of the most appreciated features

Many users also like the option to synchronise data recorded on their device with the Cycletrack server.

This is useful when switching to a new phone, installing the app on another device, or recovering after local browser storage has been cleared. Because Cycletrack works as a web app and Progressive Web App, some data can live locally on the device. Synchronisation gives users an additional safety layer, so their saved cycles and day logs are not lost as easily.

The goal is simple: Cycletrack should stay practical in real life.

Phones change. Browsers get cleared. Devices break. Users should not have to lose their cycle history because of that.

Cycletrack is now also on Google Play

Another big milestone came in February 2026, when Cycletrack became available on Google Play.

This makes the app easier to find, install, and trust for Android users. You can still use Cycletrack directly as a web app, but Google Play gives many people a more familiar way to install it.

If you use Cycletrack and find it helpful, please consider rating it on Google Play. A short rating or review helps more than it may seem. It tells new users that the app is active, useful, and worth trying.

More than an app: a growing educational blog

Cycletrack is not only a tracking tool. I also want it to become a useful educational resource.

That is why I keep adding articles about menstrual cycles, symptoms, ovulation, cycle changes, pain, migraines, tracking habits, and related topics. The goal is not to replace medical advice. The goal is to explain things clearly, calmly, and practically, so users can understand their bodies better and feel more prepared when talking to a healthcare professional.

Good tracking is helpful, but understanding what you track is even better.

If you have not visited the blog yet, I invite you to explore it. Some articles may help you understand patterns you already noticed. Others may simply give you better words for things you experience every month.

What comes next

Cycletrack will continue to improve step by step.

My focus remains the same: keep the app private, simple, useful, and respectful. I want to keep improving reliability, synchronisation, data export, user experience, and educational content without turning the app into something complicated or noisy.

I am grateful for every user who helps shape the app through real use and honest feedback.

Thank you for one year online
